Yes — all of our sugaring programs are designed for licensed beauty professionals. A valid esthetics or cosmetology license is required for enrollment. If you are currently in school and awaiting your license, reach out to us directly and we can discuss your options.

The Beginner Sugaring Online Course requires no prior experience at all — it is designed specifically for professionals starting from scratch. Sugaring Basics Certification recommends the beginner course as a foundation but does not require it.
Bikini & Brazilian Course requires either completion of the Sugaring Basics Certification or a submitted technique video showing foundational sugaring ability.
Perfecting the Pull coaching session is open to any trained sugaring professional regardless of where they learned.

Think of the beginner course as the perfect preparation for the certification. You will be able to practice handling your sugar ball on your own without the need for models. This is often overlooked in training, however being able to control your sugar ball is the most important foundation before moving forward in training.
The Beginner Online Course is a self-paced online introduction — it covers the fundamentals of ergonomics, sugar ball handling, and basic technique on lower legs and underarms. The Sugaring Basics Certification goes significantly further — it is a hybrid program with two in-person training sessions, covers the full body including legs, arms, face, back, and an introduction to bikini, and results in a certificate of completion from The Esthetics Edit.

Our hybrid programs include online pre-work modules you complete before your first in-person session — covering theory, contraindications, technique foundations, and professional standards.

The in-person sessions are where the hands-on learning happens, with your instructor guiding you in real time. The sessions are intentionally spaced apart so you have time to practice between them and come back to your second session with real questions from real experience.

Our in-person sessions are kept intentionally small — typically 1 to 4 students — so every student receives focused attention and meaningful hands-on time with the instructor. This is not a large group workshop where you watch from the back of the room. You will be hands-on from the start.

After booking, you will receive instructions to submit a short video of yourself sugaring — showing your paste consistency, your application, and your removal technique. We recommend a video of sugaring lower legs or underarms. You will also submit your questions and the specific struggles you want to work through. Your coach reviews everything before your session so that your full hour is spent on personalized feedback and corrections — not introductions. You show up, and we get straight to work!
